I tried the same a while ago on a cheap vista laptop for my oldies, rolling back to xp. It was a major headache because there were no xp drivers for a lot of the components. It really sucked.
Is XP a bit long in the tooth for new hardware to use?
With W7 being a bit more recent, would it be better to run than going back to XP?
I don't mind admitting tech.stuff is 95% over my head.
All I want to be able to do is type out, print, and email the occasional document, run Hotmail, and
waste time keep in touch on Seabreeze, a 4wd site, and a shooting forum, etc.
All the high tech whizzbang stuff is wasted on me. no downloading of pirated movies or hacking for this bloke.
