Hey guys if you dont already know I am planning to windsurf to Lancelin and maybe further. Basically I want to do it on formula gear and carry a backpack with flares, handheld radio/ mobile phone,EPIRB water and food. Wind would have to either guaranteed NE or west for 12 hours to make it. I reckon it should take between 7 and 14 hours to get there.

Anyone got the balls to race me or bet me that I cant do it?
If the wind doesnt hold up there is always the Yanchep or seabird pubs!

I've done all the way myself - but not in one go like you're planning. Did it the easy way with support crew (wife and kids) in car meeting me at various spots, on a bump and Jump board in about 18 knot SW -lost of fun especially with all the reef breaks along the way. You need to watch out around the Alkimos for shallow reefs.
I reckon you're better doing it on a normal s/w seabreeze, as north of Ocean reef the coastline heads out to the west a bit and you can just about go parallel to the beach while you're flying down wind.
Take some sunnies cause the spray starts to make your eyeballs ache after a few hrs going the same direction
