A young boy was kiiled by a car on Dunkley Avenue. This is the road many kitesurfers/windsurfers use to goto Melville Waters and Lucky Bay.
I know I often will do the 5-10km over the limit as I drive down the street when the breeze is blowing before my habitual windsurf in the afternoon, or on the way to my girlfriend house. I know that a majority of other kitesurfers and windsurfers do this too without thinking of other consequences apart from a few minutes more of time on the water.

So out of respect for the victim, the family and relatives of the family, I ask that all whom read this message drive slowly along this road, in the future, no matter how good the wind is or how excited you are. All I ask in just drive at 20-40km along this stretch of road. Is this not too much to ask for? It is not worth risking a young life for. Imagine having to live with it for the rest of your life....

Chad,

An important issue you have bought up, yes let's all slow down!!!!!

Have a 7yo girl myself, she always runs to the park with her dog, and crosses a road on the way "Often without looking for cars), no matter how many times I've explained calmly and rationally to her not to run, or yelled crazily at her not to do it, she's just 7, gets excited along with the dog and runs across the road without looking.

Incredibly scary for any parent, when I heard the 10yo getting run over bec he was chasing his dog across the road, it really freaked me out.
