Nice - but you're reducing how far it can slide aren't you?

I drilled some extra holes on my ion slider bar and put another rope in, looser than the main one. it sees no load but when the other one breaks it then works fine. I only really did it for a mauritius trip where failure is more consequential, the rest of the time i'm not too fussed, if it breaks I turn the harness around and put the chicken loop through the grab handle at the back... Works fine to get you home.

I thought the slider idea was ideal for foiling.
I love the freedom when going toeside.
so restricted slide is not my choice.

simply two ropes one ring works best.

You will have another mode of failure before that rope fails.
