but I don't want heaps of depower, I want to lock in the power. Does it work as well for that?
I hear you, thats how I like my set up as well. I like to ride with about 3 inches of throw only and the new fuel bar lets you do exactly that. Adjust it where you want and locks in and holds every time and yet to experience any slippage. Best thing about the stopper I find is when riding unhooked on the suicide, as I unhook I push the stopper all the way up and if I miss the pass the bar slides up depowering the kite considerably. Whereas previously with a short throw chicken throw with the old locked on stopper, when I missed the bar it would remain powered and I would cop a hiding.
The only draw back of using this type of stopper is it harder to turn the bar because the stopper inserts (jams) into the bar hole and becomes 'part of the bar' so to speak (creates a similar look and feel to that of the 05 knuckle saver bar) and I find that turning the bar also turns or pushes the chicken loop in the stopper to the side as well creating pressure.
Still, I can't recommend the bar enough.
Just my two cents. (more like about half a cent!)
Cheers
