has anyone ever had problems with the new dugout systems plastic getting rubbed off by the fifth line trim and if theres any info on if slingys gonna fix this thanx

yeah its kind of a catch 22 there, in 2 months ive worn through 3 chicken loop lines and 2 5th lines if one doesn't wear the other does. Also the crappy plastic in the dugout wore away in the first session, now the fibreglass hole in my bar is slowly begining to wear to one side.

Yeah i have the same problem.

For the first 3 sessions I thought it was the best bar setup ever! then shortly after I wore through the 5th line, then the centre line, the warranty replacements are wearing just as quick, and the centre fibre-glass grommet is looking pretty shabby.

I've been told that Slingshot are going to replace the bars soon, and are working on the problem. I hope so- paying top dollar for a top kite, I was kinda expecting something a bit better. Wicked kite though!!

from what i've heard, slingshot are aware of the fact that some of their glass fibre bars are wearing both the rope and the running gear on 06 stuff.
new chicken loop ropes will apparently be supplied f.o.c. and new bars with stainless inserts are forthcoming.
sounds like they are addressing the issue.

Same on the new TD love the bar set up but it's starting to chew through the chicken also.
