i am wondering if anyone out there with an 07 north rhino can answer this for me. i currently use 9 and 12 07 rebels. i love the kites but anything under 15 knots and im sitting on the beach. i have been looking at getting a 14 metre rebel aswell until i have read a little about the power the rhinos make. my question is would the 12 metre rhino have the same power as a 14 metre rebel as i prefer to fly the smaller kites as ive found larger kites in low wind equals no fun

Im 90kg and ride an 07 rebel i can get out in 13 knots riding slowerly but i can do it..
If your looking for a new kite pass the rhino and go for an evo.. They produce heaps of power in light wind. Apparently they are a designed light wind kite

Id be looking into an EVO

The 08 Rebel is also fantastic in light wind and there may be a few second hand ones around ATM.

Save your money and buy a lightwind board. I ride a 13m bandit and can get going in 13 knots on my Nobile ext and hold it up to 30kt gusts. I'm 110kg

I just tried my new 08 14mtr Rhino on the weekend, IT ROCKS. Heaps of power in around 15-18 knots. I weigh 105kg and hope my new 14 will replace my 07 16mtr torch. Not sure how it will go under 15 knots but i recon it will be fine. Maybe you should look at a new light wind board instead of a new kite. Much cheaper.
cheers.

I reckon you need to go bigger than 14m if you want to go out at the ultra-low end.

hey im 100kg i was riding a 14 rhino 07 in 15 knots to 25/30, ive just got the 08 rhino 12 and i think it has more low end power then the 07,14.
i was out the other day and my mates were amazed that i was holding ground in 14/15 knots and smaller guys on the same size kite (not a rhino ) were going down wind....
hope it helps.
cheers

finx i'm with you, a 12 or 14 mtr 08 rhino will do the job just fine. Both sizes also turn real quick. If your going to kite in ultra low wind then definatly look at maybe a directional board or big twin tip. Anyway heres another big plug for the rhino's. They kick arse.
Good luck.
