Looking for comments from North Rebel Riders (all else need not apply). I'm 104kg and I'm thinking the 14 and the 10. Has any one tried/used this combo worried that the 12 and 9 combo would be a little on the small size for lighter days.
that'll work, but it all depends on what boards your riding. I had the 12m out the other day in about 12 knots and was cranking up wind on a 6 foot surfboard... I'm about 90kg's.
You would be best with the 10-14 combo. The x ride is the best allrounder that i have used. I bought last years Jaime pro which is great but for a big unit the larger x ride is the go. You will hold the 10 in sh-t loads of wind and the 14 should get you going well in 15 knots.
Seems Done and Dusted. Probably use the Tweeny more cause it's easier to pack around as I take the bus to work and then probably to Narrabeen or Longreef for the summer after work kite this summer (if we get wind on the Northern Beaches).
As for the North Pimping the last North Thread was hijacked, so I figured I'd start a new one. Not my fault I like the gear they make.
I have a 14m - 9m combo, at 92kg it is perfect for me and love that new 08 bar. For boards I ride ABOARDS 131cm and 137cm twin tips and a Stuey Martin 6'2" surfboard.
Great combo with a nice cross over that really works.
