Has anyone had one die yet?

The kiteshop that started sellling them assurese me they are durable but they also said that about the bravo.

Also I am thinking about getting the one without the battery and bying my own AGM battery that I can use for other things and mounting the whole show on a piece of ply. Works out to be the same price but get a far better battery that I can use for other things.

There were some issues with the first batch. The importer has been brilliant and is replacing all units that exhibit issues or die.
The second batch and all the ones we are selling now seem to have no problems, my own personal pump has done at least 50 - 60 pumps and recharge cycles.
You can buy the pump with confidence, both KP and the manufacturer will back them up. Normal warranty conditions apply, but the pumps have 12 months warranty.
I have the unit with the internal battery.

can read well struggling to spell is relevant, ever had a big swim from equipment failure will endeavour to do better thesaurus,was questioning fitness levels and attitude for a physical sport or would you expect someone else to assist you when brown stuff hits the fan

If 2 mins of pumping is to hard then really you need to exersise some more!

The secret to making these particular batteries last is to recharge them after every days use,dont wait until they run low that kills the life of the battery.

What brand were the issues with? Island or Bravo? With the 50- 60 pumps, is that per recharge? or 1 pump then recharge?
I only have a 15 M Rev so it takes a bit more and pumping kites in hot hot sun is a pain, I use a 20$ coleman air bed pump to how far it can go then it takes about another 2 minutes of pumping after that.

I'm not getting any issues with the current Island Inflator Pumps, the issues I referred to seem to have only occurred with the first batch of pumps we sold. The importer has given as excellent back up though and has replaced all pumps that were affected.

We cannot sell Bravo, and there have been many problems with the Bravo kite pumps that were available until approx 1 year ago. I've been Bravo have improved the reliability of their pumps, but there is no current importer that we can deal with, so we don't sell the Bravo.

I meant that my pump has inflated approx 50-60 kites so far with my own Island Inflator pump and have had no issues with it.
On one charge it will inflate 6-8 12M kites, I recharge it after every use to preserve the life of the battery.

The fitness card is a lame troll, if someone wants to pump by hand go for it, and same if someone wants to use an electric pump, each to their own.

Im definitely after one of these island pumps, as the coleman was only ever meant as a temporary measure til I can afford a good un. I also have a spare AGM battery but it weighs a tonne, and wont be dragging that down the beach ever.

As for HTFU, little tough talkin Luddites who use technology as it suits them, while still being attached to Mum's Tit;
Do you handpump the tyres on your car? if not you shouldnt be driving
why use a car when you can walk? or even better run?
why eat food that is cooked for you when you can cook it yourself? If you cant cook , you shouldnt be eating
Why buy food from a supermarket when you can grow/ raise it yourself? If you cant grow your own food you shouldnt be eating
Why buy a kite when you could make one yourself? why use a kite at all when you can just surf?
why use a surfboard when you could use a fence pailing? If you cant ride a fence pailing you shouldnt be surfing
why have running water when you can walk miles and fetch it from a well? If you cant do that, you shouldnt be drinking.
Why use a computer when you got an abacus? why use electronic communications when you could walk/run around to peoples places to deliver your msg?

I say HTFU and walk to the beach, grow and cook your own food three meals a day as well as your 60hour a week tough tough job, dont bother kiting as it gives you a power advantage, use a fence pailing for your surfboard, and walk miles to a stinky bore hole well for your water, oh and dont even bother thinking about using grid electricity in any of your plights, HTFU and generate your own power with a modified bicycle.

Hey, if crew want to pump using mechanical technology let them! I don't see the point, but my brother (my kite buddy), is getting one. Each to their own.

Must admit some of the bigger kites do knacker you. That's why i wear a camel-back, cause after I'm done, I'm thirsty as!

Kinda cool, watchin your kite inflate while you put on your wetty and harness - ha ha!

The pumping isn't that hard compared to lugging the electric pump around.
It just seems it's the hight of the pump that can make it painfull.
Someone needs to design one for taller dudes.

How much are these pumps and what do they weigh? I had an electric pump back in 04 and it lasted a season and boy that thing was incredibly heavy. I reckon I got more tired carrying it to the beach than if I was to use a hand pump
