does anyone know any more on what is happening? is it still 2 events?? or is AKSA still living with their heads in the sand and not listening to Aussie kiters or serving its purpose as an organization on this one?

I'm not on the AKSA committee but I'm pretty certain the Nationals are still 2 events.

Let's not start another Nationals bashing thread though, give 'em a chance and see what happens.

G'Day Ian,

After speaking with Mike and Andrew of AKSA via several emails, I can tell you that the nationals is definately split into two seperate events.

The Wave nationals will be in Kwinana, Queensland and the Freestyle will be in St Kilda, Victoria. I think AKSA are still making their mind up as to whether to have an overall champion, but good sense and fairness would dictate that there should probably be two seperate champions and no overall.

I guess we will have to wait and see what happens and trust the people who are running the events to put on a fine show. The bickering is pointless now as the decisions have been made and are not going to be changed irrelevent of how much protesting there may be. So I suggest we take a proactive approach and ask what we can do to make this years events successful.

The wheels are in motion, it's time to get behind them and lend a push!

Hey it's windy today with a big swell, I've got a new board to test and I'm goin' kitin' YAY!

Good winds to all

isnt kwinana a cough tonic?hey boys and girls. you cant judge a sport of any kind if you compare one discipline against another.flyfishing is not lure fishing, speedsailing is not wavesailing. tow ins aren't freesurfing.but kitesurfing has the potential to be so much more.there's room for more comps if every one gets involved with aksa. login, join and vote. regards ian
