I've gotta XBow 1, had since new...no probs! I guess all models make a few duds?

I did hear the other day that there were some probs with some of the crossbow and switchblade 2's. Something to do with the UV protection...don't know if anyone has more information - something like a dud batch.

I have 2 switchblade 2's and they are both bulletproof.

i have heard that the switch blade 2 has had a few probs like yours.i`ve met 2 blokes with tears in the same spot and shape at dolls in syd right along the second to middle strut. but thats 2 out of hundreds.
i understand your anger ,if you spend that much money on a kite and it breaks with no falt of your own then the powers that be need to sort it out for there own reputation.

The SB2 kites that ripped at Dolls were both immediately replaced with new kites.
There was a small percentage of kites that had a warranty issue, and all my customers kites were replaced without question, quickly.

The person who started the thread may have purchased a used kite that was overinflated as was pointed out by someone else, the kite may have had a small cut that became bigger as the kite was inflated. If the kite in question was purchased new go see your dealer.

i have had xbow 2 blue no issues , used it hard ,ungraded to xb3

still have xbow 2 blue 7mtr wind range 25-35 nts , its an amazing kite again no issues

Being second hand does not been that it is void of quality issues but maybe those quality issues are a bit more apparent.

The material used may be the same type of the other manufacturers but may be of a lighter grade, you do get different weights of material per square meter. The thread may deteriate a bit quicker or the stitch patern may cause the canopy to rip much the same as toilet paper - all these things play a part.

At the beginning of the post I did say that I had a 2002 Naish X2 that was 5 years old and had gone throught the wars- I had learnt on it and so did my brother inlaw, the canopy had puncture wholes from sharp sticks - it never tore!

At the beginning of the post I should not have generalized my issue with the kite but my idea was to get feedbaack from it, which worked as most of the replies were all positive about the Cabrinha kites.

It still doesnt change my mind about buying another Cabrinha much like somebody not wanting to buy the same make of car they previously had problems with but it does install a bit of faith with the kite I have now.

I am just p*ssed I could not kite and may not be able to kite until it is repaired.
