Trying to decide between the Recoil 136 or the Concept 135.Anyone ridden either of these boards? What sort of differences are there?

I ride the 139 Concept with Bindings. I haven't ridden the Recoil but my understanding is you need to be more powered on this board. It has a bit more rocker so pushes a bit more water. Concept is a sweet board, handles our choppy SA conditions well and will keep you upwind without drama. Good width and provides soft landings on the powered stuff.

**Edit**

Just realised you were after info on the 2009. I don't have that yet but will have hopefully sooner rather than later. Info above is on the 2008 model.

Yea I own the new Recoil, although its a 133 not the 136 and i have ridden both the 134 and the 137 Recoil Comps. I haven't had the chance to ride the Concept though...

What I can say about the Recoil's though is that they are really nice boards, they look sweet and are so smooth through chop and the landings are really soft on them. The new 2009 recoils have a much thinner rail than last year also. My advice would be to go for a smaller board than the 136 especially if you ride in chop or waves...

Thats my opinion anyway. Feel free to ask anymore questions if you want

Cheers, Felix

the size board you buy should be worked out by your size. both boards are really good if your riding bindings the concept is well suited.
