Can anyone advise their recommended settings for a 9mtr Octane? Rear line setting/ knot settings for both front and rear lines. Mine seems ok on rear lines at furthest back position, rear line on second knot and front on first knot. Mate has one as well but hes not happy with it.

Any serious recomm. Will be appreciated.

I have 7M and 11M so not the same is you but I was originally unhappy too. Once I removed the extra pig tail on the rear lines (as advised by SS and posted everywhere) I now rig on middle front and middle back and are very happy in all winds. Great kites.

I have the 13m and 9m, and agree with Adfreetv. If the wind is a little light move your front lines to the first knot and leave the rear lines on the second knot. Opens up the kite for the lighter stuff.
Constant winds,
Baz.

So does everyone agree about removing the pigtail extensions? I assume its the ones on the rear line section of the bridle? I just cant work out how to then attach rear lines?????

I rode an 11m last year and had problems with it over sheeting and dropping out of the sky in the lower winds, we changed the settings until i found the best performance and that was to have the outer lines on the third knot and the centre lines on the first knot. Having the side lines up at there maximum seemed to give it better steering response and the centre lines being on the first knot allowed the kite to sit back a little in the window stopping it from coming forward and dropping. That was my findings anyway.
