Got a 7m 2011 fuel the other day and running on equal line lengths the kite barely turns. But if I run the back lines 100mm shorter the kite doesn't backstall and is a whole lot more lively.
Need some advice from fuel riders on pigtail lengths/ line lengths and general tuning.
pretty similar reaction on most kites, it doesnt hurt to play around with steering and pigtail settings if your clued up youll know if its wright or wrong, straight out of the factory may not suit some peoples riding style, ive placed multi knot settings on my pig tails and change them around as the conditions suit,
Which bar? 20 or 23 m lines? I recently order a new set of lines & the rears had different "extra leaders" to go on as well, had never seen it till now. The lines on all my bars are equal length when bar pull in & I ride pretty powered
Wind conditions were 30-33 kts so i was definately powered. Wanted to loop on the short lines but I downlooped after a big jump and the kite ran the widest arc and would barely turn, so I had to re-tune my other bar as there wasn't enough adjustment on the slingshot bar and go out again.
I'm not a lightweight 87kg riding a 7 should go upper thirties. Problem is not depowering it's no response on the steering as it feels like its majorly depowered with equal line lengths.
had a 11 m fuel , always run rear lines short ( 1 knot to hang of kite's leach , much better control and still plenty of depower,What length bar are u using?
