New seasons about to kick in and the new gear talk up is on the cards..
Any thoughts on new game changers? Bar n lines complete with cup holders for $1000 or foiling becoming cool? Clicky bars for every brand?
Do we really need new stuff?Im so happy with the bigger kite companies just putting out a new colour scheme it makes me wanna spend some hard earnt for the same 2017 feel. Not sure if tweaking the bridles and colour is enough to justify a new season splurge on the cash.
Thoughts?
Interesting game changer from ozone
Hope the hyperlink turns likes an inflato with the bar stuffed in or it wont draw in buyers. Using foil kites in the surf used to suck maybe its all in the past now
I wish they showed some crashes of these kites on the water to see how easy relaunch is. Please excuse my ignorance here, ( I have never snow kited) but what does the strap do that is attached to the two steering lines? I have seen them on most snow kite setups. Thanks in advance.

Its a stall handle, all good foil kites have them. Pulling in on it stalls the kite and it can be landed safely backwards in light to moderate winds from overhead and from the side in stronger stuff. Then you can pop the safety to flag it and pack up.
I made a video yesterday its a bit long, flew my 12M demo Hyperlink on the beach as the wind was very light. I reckon I could have stayed upwind on a large TT.
I'll see if I can work out how to edit the clip and post it. Shows stall landing, stall and flag to one line landing and relaunch, LE down and relaunch.

great. Look forward to it and thanks for the info!
Hmm no - not a game changer..
Just a trainer kite for those thinking theyd love to learn how to un-tangle even more lines before purchasing a race kite
Peter lynns foils with only 4 actual lines would then be the simplest game changer foil ever.
There both just foils.

No major changes from Cab either which is great as 15/17 my gear is still current. Bar/depower look the same (now yellow & black), stronger leading edge material to stop kite from changing shape (?). They look like they have directional TT tronic but would not say its a mutant. Move along nothing to see here.
So are they actually telling us that it's faster turning, higher performance, than any other brands kite or last years models?
If they weren't telling us this - that would be the game changer.
Maybe the game changers is that the smaller less known brands are catching if not caught these big brands in quality as they have access to the same materials, at a far more realistic pricing.
Slingshot have the talon. Replaces the chickenloop. I think that's awsome. Way better for the industry standard then the cab fireball
Interesting, RRD waves kites - not sure which model.. they have bungee rear line attacments.
This takes up some slack when wave riding, giving some instant turn efficiency on otherwise slack lines.

Faarkkk me I hate these "Game Changer" posts.
How many times da I hav 2 tell yousss!!?
There ain't no "game changer" in this industry. It's all hype - wank - wank... BS.
The day someone invents a kite that does not use bladders and is not a spider's nest, THAT will be a game changer.
