Today was my first day out at Pinaroo and I had a really good session, and actually got some upwind runs
for the first time! I decided to go one last run and my day turned really bad, I got caught off guard and launched down
wind of my board about 300m out. I went quite some way from my board and lost visual I then mad the mistake
of heading back in to drag out not realizing how quick the current/wind works……..time check about 5:45PM

A few guys had a quick look but no luck…I did some high drags but nothing.

As I had to sell my soul to the devil to get my gear I was not taking it to well.

After a driving up and down the coast hitting all the car parks and the jetty twice probably ran 10 kms up and Down the beach,
I thought I would try the last carpark before the Jetty at Mullaloo. Coming out of the water was a surfer with my board in his hand…..time check 8:20PM.
How awesome did I feel………………

So for the newbie’s like me if you happen to make some bad choices the average travel time for a board form Pinnaroo
to last beach Mulalloo is 2.5 hrs give or take 10mins in 30 plus southerly winds ;) “not planning anymore stats” I can now
laugh about it but sorry for the ones that were not as lucky.

Thanks to Darren and Rob for some wise words “thanks for not laughing at me” and the guys on the beach for all their help.

PS PUT YOUR NAME/NUMBER ON YOUR BOARD……………..like I just did.

Keep the love alive, thanks

Glad you got your board back, depending on the wind they can also drift parallel to mullalo beach for quite a way just behind the surf break.

I hope you gave the surfer a case of beer,

There is it again...that dreaded last run.

I always stop on my second last run to save any major mishaps.

Seriously, a reward is the custom. A carton, or at the very least a six pack of the amber nectar. Keep up the tradition and show your appreciation.

That way the chaps who found your board will feel appreciated and will do it again. And word does get around.
Sorry guys, insomnia kicked in and seabreeze is all I have for company.
