Dangerous,a big wave would have fallen right on my head, if wasn't going fast enough under it. Not a reccomended kiting location. Its full of dry rocks makes bottom turns far too challenging.
With the crowds you'd be getting in Gero at this time of year, people will be looking for alternatives to the point.
Better for them to be informed of the risks from experienced people who have kited a spot than to go and try it for themselves without knowing the hazards.
And just out of interest.... ever kited out off the Greenough River mouth?
The place is full of pointers and huge cobblers. Not to mention the occasional Okka sucking penguins and elephant seals from the rocks. Terrible place..

Drummonds rocks used to surf is near daily when I lived in Gero for a short time and get teh kingswood bogged on the beach numerous times, I understand you guys kite coros a fair bit - what is horrocks like? I used to surf there regularly, Bowes was great and got Tractors a few times, now that I kite (only surfed a few times since taking the sport up) I would think Horrocks would be ideal?
The coronation camp ground is a "first in best dressed" set up, I assure you, that at the moment you could fire a shot gun through the place and...if your'e lucky you might hit the caretaker. Not because you want to, just because he's pretty much the only one there at the moment.
It does come alive a bit when the wind is up.
And at the moment, oh it is up!. So is the swell! Coro is working BIG TIME at the moment from local reports.
