does anybody know if any kite companies have started making kiteboards with 3 stage rocker in them? would there be any reason why for companies like slinghot and liquid force who do both wakeboarding and kiteboarding not to bring out a board with a 3 s/r line?

best thing to do is check out the boards in your nearest shop., 99% sure none of them are 1 stage rocker any more, they have flat or concave sections even ... and the carbon is so much more flexi than a wake board in most top models the rocker changes as you ride it. look at the tails on the 666 nobile or aboard and you can see the flex pattern alter towards the tip due to the carbon reinfocment layup changing.

IMHO 3 Stage rocker doesn't really work 4 kiting. Well 4 my size anywho. I know there are other wake style dudes who ride 3 stage but they have to ride bigger boards cause they push so much water. A moderate continuous rocker would be better.

Might be wrong but I think Underground do 3stage rocker, or something to that effect.

concave and rocker are two completely different things....

3 stage sucks because it seeps too much power out of the kite, i tried riding a 142 slingshot recoil with a big bit of 3 stage and had to ride a kite size bigger to be able to upwind, continuous works better. some kiteboards seem to have progressive continuous rocker which steps up at the tips.

You maybe looking for:

Hydrodynamic Rocker Line:
A conventional rocker with it's flatter centre section and increasing radius towards the tail causes the water to accelerate along its length as the distance it has to travel increases. This acceleration causes drag on the board. Nobile's hydrodynamic rocker contains most of it's radius in the centre of the board. The straight action enables the water to maintain it's direction of travel all the way along the bottom of the board making the drag from the water to be reduced to a minimum as it travels the shortest distance possible. For 2009, Nobile have increased the lift in the tips of the Hydrodynamic Rocker Line. This subtle change increases versatility (particularly when switching from heel-side to toe-side) and dramatically reduces unwanted spray whilst maintaining all other benefits the Nobile 666 has become famous for.

i've been riding l f wake boards on the kite for a fair few years now with no problems, they take a little more power to get going but who cares when it's windy, def not light wind boards though.

3 stage boards suck, slow, boggy and i dont like the way they pop. give me a continous wake rocker any day.
