Hate to tell you but it blew at the pin after lunch,it started to get a bit crowded (not) but we have been through this topic before. The hardest thing you have to do is to choose to ride the glass water or the waves?? flat? or waves? flat? or waves?

this is the time of year when the BOM start smoking those big green buds, that make them see green arrows instead of red ones.

if they run dry and cant make it to nimbin, then they just throw darts at a big board with red, yellow and green arrows on it.

i can give you a much more accurate forecast than them - for the next three months expect bugger all wind, with some patchy clouds, some morning frost, and the odd shower

hey elizabeth - yeh i am at wello every chance i get. i saw you having your lesson with lynita last weekend - i was riding the big yellow kite for most of the day (names Mark, drive a blue audi - you have almost certainly seen me down there)

actually, i started about the same time as you last year (i started end march). we really did go into the doldrums for a while, maybe 6-8 weeks? but then the cranking winter westerlies came through and made for some good sessions. the main thing is by the time summer hits, you will be well and truly up to speed, and ready for those sweet 20+ north easters. you will love it!

definately get up to the cable ski, the water pongs and the mud is slightly disgusting, but its a heap of fun and is great practice for board riding

Fkn unpredictable SW winds left a few of us 'trapped' on the sandbanks accross from loders yesterday (launched from the inside of the spit). But was all good in the end, the good old water police drove us back.
Then just as we get back to the car the wind kicks in again
Earlier in the day we had good wind for maybe 2 hours(though you wouldnt think it after seeing the BOM readings) must funnel through there a lot. Anyway had super smooth water behind the banks which got even better as the tide came in.

I know ya now , i turned up in a white ute to see how ur session was. Did you once meet Fitzy at Loders creek and i talked to you there?. I notice that you guys have more girls kitting there and in bris than we have ever had. Today i got conned into a quick d'winda from n'neck to the pumpim jetty. If if wasnt for Jap tourist/light wind/sweep/too fat/small kite/peer group pressure, i would have had a good ride. D

hey bondo- mark... when you and zebb went out last wednesday, Troy and Ryan went out then also didn't they>? I was talking to Troy b4 he went out on tuesday, and he said Zebb was coming down and we drove past ryan on the way out of wello... ...

I've been riding that spot i took you to as much as possible, still havent had it near its full potential yet but OMG all it needs is S or SW solid 20kn & incoming tide and its majic......now known as the "red barge"

Elizabeth if you have all those kids with you next time and you wana kite, just take em to McDonalds tell the clown there its a birthday party ,pay 50 bucks and come back in 4 hours. Some kid will get a present they will all be exhausted and you'd had a good session. Everyone wins .

i managed to get a downwinder in at wello last thing in the arvo. pretty average really. wind was not as strong as the graphs seem to indicate.

Mark, at least we managed to get out on sunday even though it wasn't until nearly dark... I was there since 12 and the wind didn't pick up till about 4:30 or so... I lost my kiting sunnies though in the water , but they were only about $15 sunnies at least and not proper ones though... hopefully this coming sat and sun will be better... I'll just sit there both days ... at least they think... think the weather will be sunny and a good one ... Troy's got the right idea with his director chairs... will have 2 get some myself for the rest of us... anyway... better be going... Written exam 2morrow ... lol... later

Where was everyone? Man i just had the best session..... It was SE 20knots for like 5hours before it started to drop, beautiful warm and sunny weather and only 4 other guys out.
There was also a swimwear model parade on the beach and when i came in one of the most beautiful girls i've ever seen grabbed my kite & asked me if i could find the time to teach her to kite.
Sorry I said.....I'm not able to teach you because i'm not qualified. But my friend Paulio, he will teach you well. He's not quite as good looking as i am but he's a good teacher non the less...
Some radio station was also down there giving out free Breaka chocolate milks so i grabbed one and took a sip, instantly i woke up and realised that it was all a dream.
