pull 5th line till kite is on its back, pull bar down to full power position and to the side you want it to launch from, keep hold of 5th line when its launching and let out slowly to let the kite fly up. have a few goes and once sussed you can basically hot launch from directly down wind and not get tea bagged, remember to keep hold of the 5th line, this controls how much power you want in the kite.

good luck

cheers

that is what I was trying to do but must have pulled too much 5th line in has kite was wanting to lift out of water and then invert on itself.

I have a Rhino 5 with 5th line. This has never worked for me. How much 5th line would you say you need to pull in order to get the kite on it's back? Is it 5cm or something like 50cm? Just a ball park would be helpfull.

Do u really need to hold the 5th line, this just complicates things.
The best tip is grab the side leader line you want to steer the kite out of the water (once its on it's back) and this will make it race towards the side of the window, then let go othe line and jst crank the bar a bit.

If you want to get it on it's back you mosewell just let go of the bar completely and the reel it in.

yea i'm with spacemonk, once its on its back just really pull hard on the leader line on the side of the window u want it to relaunch, once it gets sum power and starts to race towards edge of window then just crank the bar back and ur kite should be bakc in the air.

Getting it on its back i find pullin in a little bit of fith line then swiming at it, shouldnt need to swim to far and it should be completely rolled over, otherwise yea u can just crank the fith line in till it flips by itself ( cranking it and swiming i find a lot quicker and easyier).

but yea i found wat space moneky says is probably the best way works for me realucnh in under 20 secs.
