A little while ago I bought a psycho 4 from Ian and the next day what later turned out to be a small manufacturing defect caused serious internal damage to the kite. Ian got onto things straight away including giving me a loan kite to use as long as mine was out of service.

Anyway, long story short, Flysurfer were happy to repair the kite, but were taking an inordinate amount of time to agree to replacing it (I wasn't to keen on accepting a heavily repaired kite after two sessions!). Ian kept on following up for me and in the end gave me a new kite out of his own stock and said he would sort it out with Germany one way or another.

While I have been disappointed with the communication and response from the head office, I can't fault Ian's handling of the matter and support. The kite is a blast to fly and it is great to know that you will get solid local support from Ian.

Cheers,

Ben.

Yep have to second that - Ian is a top bloke like some other dealers around - Scott Kennedy - Core Kites in QLD and Simon Peters Margaret River - all of them don't just sell gear - they provide excellent advice, support and usually end up being in the good mate category (with a deal or not in the bag) rather than just another retailer.

Understand this is at times harder to achieve in the larger retail outfits, and there are some cowboys out there too - but these guys truly fit the mold - keep up the work fella's!

Have to second that too. Ian's support about Flysurfer gear is really good. I had a few conversations with him over the past 2 years and met him recently in Sydney: he is honest, knowledgeable and not pushy about trying to sell.

From my point of view, by the look of things, his involvment with Flysurfer imports does not seem to be for money but more by passion for the sport and the products.

Big thanks to you Ian for making this effort, some of us really appreciate it!

Nothing seems too much trouble for Ian. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone. In fact I have in a number of occasions.

Add my name to this list as well.
Bought a board ("Spleene Door") from him a while ago.
