Now this is not having a crack at beginners by any means. We were all there at some point whether some of us wish to acknowledge it or not.
But, if you are a beginner please start trying your stuff down wind of the last rider you see on the water. To those riding at Largs, it is becoming an increasingly popular place to ride now. When you start upwind or at the same spot as the others you end up going through the entire pack, pretty much causing problems for everyone else at some point in time.
I have always ridden down wind of the main pack to have some space to try new tricks. I see you guys causing mayhem on the way and when you've finished with me you walk onto the beach and start all over again. I realise you feel safer with other kiters around but you would be surprised how much of an eye people are keeping out for those having problems. I will always check someone out if they look as though they are in trouble and I know plenty of others do the same. So you're not going to be ignored if you are a bit further down wind.
I've always said that everyone has as much right as the next person to be on the water, and I still believe this. But when you're there have a little consideration for everyone else. Good on ya's.

Well said Fozzy. I kite at St Kilda and always head up and kite close to the pier to try and get some room. I also agree the water is for everybody and we were all begineers once. I have been kiting since 2002 so i class myself as advanced. A few of us the other day where jumping, and practising various tricks and reading each others body, kite language so we wouldnt get in each others way. Anyway in this small area we had begineers just cruising up and back doing nothing but getting in our way every time we tryed to load up for a jump or some other trick. There was plenty of room on the water they just had to move down wind say 50 metres. When I asked them nicely to move down a bit to give us some room to jump they cracked the ****s. It used to be an awesome spot to kite but now its packed with begineers that just dont get it.
