Just a quick note to let those interested in following the conditions and adventures of the Trip Ben and I are running next week in Bali.
We have 8 crew coming, 6 australian guys and 2 from Japan. Laurie has asked us to post our items in the news section so we will be adding pics , daily updates and hopefully some footage of the week.
stay tuned and hopefully we will will have some good stories to brighten up the ausie winter season

Hey Bruce, tough life for some, eh!!! I guess we will have to put up with 50cm of fresh snow that has dumped here the last few days. I know where I'd rather be but sliding down terrain can be fun too. Tony A

got here - having breaky overlooking glassy beach break - going to sanur to ride today to warm up some of the crew - will give you a report tomorrow

Just a quick few words for those wanting more info and updates on Ben’s Bali Clinic which he and Bruce are running this week….in Bali.
Bruce called me and asked if I would write something for Seabreeze to keep everyone updated as he was unable, at that time, to get internet access. He has plans to sort that out later this week. The trip and the setup sound awesome, wish I was there for sure!
Day 1 Canggu
Excellent 2-3ft waves, side off-shore left hand and 15k. Great to see another 12 kiteres out there having a blast in these great conditions.
Day 2 Balian
Perfect A-frame break, perfect side-shore lefts and 18-20k. The group of 10 had this spot entirely to themselves….I’d call that perfect too!!! Water temp around 24 and the entire setup at Balian is excellent for riding. The surf is great and the mornings have been up to 6ft and glassy, the wind is not up till around 11, making a great balance.
Day 3 Balian
Only got a quick text from Bruce last night that just said that they had another excellent day!
Will keep you posted where I can ahead of Bruce picking it up.

Nice one Bruce and Ben - you're missing bugger all here on the Sunshine Coast. No wind and no swell and may not even improve until the end of next week.
Do you have any of the 09 gear there to test? Wouldn't mind giving the 09 REV a go.

Yes I'm Italian,
lived in Bali since 11 years, married with a Balinese girl, the pioneer of kitesurfing in Bali since 1999 with another 2 guys, founded the first kite school in Indonesia, opened a second that I recently gave to the local crew of Balinese kiters so that they now own and manage by themselves, I found and was the first to kite most of the spot that are today in the map of Bali and Indonesia, my web site is offering information's about Bali since 2001.
And yes I think I can call them my waves! As nobody kited them before me!

hey some of the guys are staying a few extra days
but will be gone by the 30th
we have just scored 6 out 7 days riding and it looks good again today
swell in bali is big 3 meters today
