Landing and launching clipping in to the flagging ring is so important, because so many screw ups happen on launch and land, and there is hard stuff all around.
Too true gruezi, although in particular, as you know this kite has the ability to have 100 % depower so IMO it is better to have the bar set up in override (i.e the retainer clip ball disengaged) and yes flagging the rear line, this is indeed the safest way.
But I also admit I never do that I always clip into the centre black line and use full depower, which is easily controlable in most situations.
Sunseeker makes a good point ....
"Also, if your override 2 is clicked in place and your leash is set up at the leash interface ball, unless the override is set loose or disengaged the kite won't depower if you operate your safety release. I always test my override each time I go out or ride with it disengaged if I'm about to do a big trick or in heavy surf."
This will see you in trouble if you do release. anyone that has had this happen to them will know , you release your kite the override clip is set too tight and it doesn't release , and just keeps you fully powered up!, and trying like hell to get the bar back in this situation is sooo difficuilt.
As a beginner IMO you should have your safety flagging on the flagging ring on this kite, not on the black line above chicken loop, because of the above senario.(at the very least on launch and land then change it to centre once launched if need be.)
I abmit it is crap that Cab SB2 & 3 flag the back line and not the front(I have mentioned this to Dan many times , but he doesn't see any problem with it ???),
The kite will spiral out of control(stopper ball set up !!!) and to re-right it once fagged on back line is impossible and a beach relauch is the only way , which doesn't help you if your 1 k out from shore.
They really should change this set up , as riding suicide is not for beginners anyway.
Cab should copy the front line mod IMO dfor the SB's
