As a prelim feature event to the Australia Day fireworks WAKSA has arranged a demo of 10 top riders to showcase our sport in front of the gathering crowd of up to 300,000 joe publics.
With cooperating wind (its looking good so far) kiters will be working around a large central area of Perth Water.
Two session times have been arranged 4:30>5:15 then 5:30>6:15.
Riders & crew will be based in the carpark at the end of Coode St - Sth Perth. Waksa members are invited to join us there for the avo & evening festivities.
Come along & join in or watch from wherever. But dont miss it. This may just be the single biggest audience event in kiteboarding history.

Session Times for kite demo : (wind permitting)
4:30 thru to 5:15
then a brief break for a seaplane landing.
Back on:
5:30 thru to 6:15
Our 'area' is basically the whole of the centre of the river with just a no-go clearance around the barges. Viewing from all spectator areas should be fine.
All sorted now - just praying for wind.
And [}:)]fish - thanks for the offer but -
NO reckon our selection will be wicked enough

hopefully they will be going for big air. Wakestyle isnt all that impressive to the untrained eye.

ohh yeah and get some aussie flags on those kites. A bit of masking tape should hold as long as you dont crash.

OR to most trained eyes either IMO
Seriously : Yes definatley Big Air, deadman, board-off etc will be the order of the day.
But those trained eyes out must not be too critical - safety is no.1 priority, even above WOW factor, so all riders will be going BIG but also going conservative.
