Looking for a holiday spot to kite next week within 2 hours of Melbourne. Someplace that would be likely to have consistent wind, a few good eateries, and yoga for my wife, but not too built up. Any suggestions? We were considering Torquay. How would the wind be there this time of year? Also, from google images, it looks a little more developed than we would like. But it's hard to tell what it's really like. (We were happy with Port Douglas in Queensland if that helps). Advice?

Not sure about the wind, but having been to both of those places I'd say torquay is on par with port Douglas as far as development goes.
Both beautiful places.

Have a look at inverloch, pretty cruise town with some good kiting options, flat water and surf
