Thinking about getting a new board need a little advice

I have a 135 2012 xenon laluz with LF bindings its my go to board
I heard you can wreck the inserts with bindings which got me worried

I want to get a bit more aggressive as I progress hence why I got boots

So I'm thinking a light wind tt with apex straps and laluz should be fine?

Or put apex straps on laluz
And get a freestyle aggressive tt and put the LF bindings on them ?
Only if boots are def going to be a problem on the laluz

I'm 65kgs
Kiting mostly in 13 to 25 knots

Firstly can someone confirm that the inserts will be ripped out as rowdy said?

Seen plenty riding the infra with boots, id doubt they have a different method of fabrication for the laluz, if you want to relieve the tension from the inserts, bond your boots with some clear silicone , this will take nearly all the stress off your inserts,

I read it somewhere on the forum they were saying no problems for the infra but had problems for the laluz ?

Glo I'm with cauncy on this, surely they have similar construction unless the inserts are beefed up on the infra.

Maybe chuck xenon a question?

^^ me too,
Theres a few of us wanting to know. I asked a similar question on another page. Seems with boots becoming more popular more and more people are looking for a board that will suit be and be a good all round board rather then a full on dedicated wakestyle board

Boots are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over rated.

As for why you need to be locked it is beyond me.

Red thumb away princess.

No that's your opinion and that's cool. I see value in them if you were really getting serious about freestyle surely. I remember spending a year in them a long way back now, and the landings seemed so much more forgiving, and could load so much easier for serious pop....I might be wrong?

But alas those days are long gone now....but for others surely they have their place. I have contemplated getting a pair again though. Maybe I'm dreaming.....lol....hence why I'd like to know about the laluzes apparent potential probs with boots.

Im with you on this one eppo, wouldnt mind finding a board like the laluz that isnt a 100% wakestyle board that will handle the extra load of boots, that i can cruise around on and use the boots to my advantage when loading up the board a bit harder. Used to have a laluz and they are a great board. Shame from what ive read here they dont take to kindly to boots.

Spoke to someone from the xenon Website here is what he had to say cheers

There is always a risk of ripping inserts of the board while using wakeboard bindings, as the crashes are way harder, force are spread differently and also different boots has different construction.
There is many riders using their Laluz with boots with out any problems, but as written above - it might happened.
That's way Infra is the choice of most riders dedicated to ride a boots. It has stronger inserts construction, but again, we can't ensure you that it will never happen as there is always some risk.

Hope it helps
Cheers
Arek

I have a 135 2013 xenon laluz it got me thinking the other day, I have boots on the board but I read somewhere that the screw inserts can come out?
Whereas the infra they believe is better built for boots? (No pulling out screw inserts).
Is this true?
Awaits your reply
Cheers
