How much do you weigh?
And where you riding? I'm guessing Sandgate from the fact you have a Proof 158...

Underground FLX 2008
Nobile 555 or 666 2009
Slingshot Misfit 2009
Airush FS 2009
Cabrinha Calibre 2009

All come within the same price range as the Ouija, I've ridden all of the above, and rank them in that order...

Cool,
So you want a 135 pretty much...
I cant rate the Underground FLX 135 more highly, I went down to a 132 this year (I weigh 75kgs), and i'm going back to a 135 in a few weeks because I want a bit more surface area for riding with Bindings.
For Mackay conditions the FLX will soak up the chop due to its complex bottom shape - but it's also got a flat rockerline so you will be able to keep riding through the lulls despite it being smaller than what your used to. Plus its bright Red so it looks good

If your after a crisper ride but willing to spend an extra $100, go for the Nobile 555 in a 136 (i think) They have done the new asymmetrical toe-side this year and it works really well. Plus its a heap lighter than a lot of boards and has a killer footpad/strap setup.

For flat water my choice would be the 555... For Chop i'd take the FLX

Hi Rhys, good info about the boards, I'm concidering the same options myself only in a 132 size since I'm 65KG. I could go smaller but would rather have the bottom end. I'm riding mostly at botany bay Sydney.

The Nobile 555 non - symetrical thing sounds good. Is supposed to dig in more toe side?

i have a 134 recoil comp from LF for sale if your interested, i had the previous year model first and loved it with straps but because i ride bindings i have no use for this one, its a 09 model used twice, at the moment its a blank deck but i do have spare pads and straps available if your keen, just need your own fins. retail price for these boards are $999.95 blank with no gear, or 1159.95 with very basic straps and fins, i have the lace up comp straps from last year in good nick as well as the grab handle i think. this is really a sweet board dude just throwin it out there all pimping aside if i wasnt riding bindings i would keep it. pm me if u want to talk

Sorry Guys, We do have a used 132 up for grabs but we sold our 135 a few months ago. When the 2009 Boards come in we've decided to have a 135 for demo - Woo!

The theory behind the toeside on a 555 is that the tips and rail is rounder. This gives you more grip on the toeside with half the effort. Works really well, I've ridden the 131 a fair bit and love it.

Take a look at the www.cardboarding.com

I rode the 555 for last two seasons, but now moved to the Tempo.

It is lighter than the 555, handles chop (more rocker than the 555) and just a more performant board - the 555 is a bit more laid back riding.

btw: in 2007 moved from the Underground to the 555 (not sure about comparisons for the 2009 models)

You would be with any of these mentioned above. But I *do* like supporting oz manufacturers when it makes sense. Oh and you can put on your own graphics at no extra cost.

btw: I have an association with cardboarding - I ran the competitions for coming up with the cardboard custom designs.
