Can anyone recommend a good quality rechargable air pump please?

Anything that will pump up kites to 12 psi effectively

As Lancekenny says they are great for the oldies, but I see lots of youngies using them too.
The latest version of the bravo pump is very good, I've had someothers that were terrible, lucky to last 20 sessions.

I reckon I have used my current one this summer around 80 times and its still going strong. The hose is a bit weird and can split at the wrong time, so I got a piece of plastic hose from bunnings and replaced it.

Use a mains power 12V regulated, car battery charger to recharge it, and recharge it after every use and the battery will last. My battery is still going fine although it does not have the cpacity it had when it was new. New it would pump approx 5-6 11/12M kites from one charge, now I reckon its 3-4.

It will pump to approx 10.5PSI, but I only use that setting on the 2008 Ozone kites, all my cabs, slingys, naish, north flexi I use around 8PSI

8PSI is hard, in those kites, the Ozones have very thin bladders and struts and can withstand and need 10PSI for max performace.

I have both the Bravo as well as the Coleman cordless pump. On my 2nd Bravo, and it's dying again :( Had the Slingshot one too but it just didnt last either.

I didnt believe the bravo did not come with a AC charger. With the 12V cigarette plug that comes with the pump, you can only charge it whilst the car is running, and often you need like a good 4-5 hours to give it a full charge (how often do you drive 4-5 hours?) Then you can only pump 4-5 kites max with a full charge. And if you plug it in while the car is not turned on, the battery from the pump will power everything up in your car lol. In the end I had to purchase from JCar an additional AC converter which costs another $35.

The Coleman is a cheap alternative, Rebel Sports in Chermside had some for $40 to clear, but most Kmart, BCF have them for $59. But you got to finish the pumping by hand.

Glad to hear the new Bravo is better Steve. I believe it is still the longest lasting one in the market at this present time.

I now have a Bravo pump and used it over the long week end.

All I can say is I wish I had it years ago - it pumps up my 9m Nem HP to a back breaking 10.5 psi in about 1 minute.

I also have a 12m Nem HP however not tried it on it as yet but expect it to be a lot easier than a manual pump.

A thanks to Kitepower who had it delivered overnight so I would have it for the long Weekend
