Through my unskilled kiting in shallow waters with an Airush 6.2" thruster board, i've finally broken one of the fins. Not just broke the fins but ripped the FCS mounts partly out of the board. Would anyone know what to repair / glue / bog this up with as this board seems to make out of somthing other than normal surfboards (foam / firbreglass).

I've also have cracks / fractures on the other side, i should repair that one as well while im at it.

4 minutes later i got my kite cort in a sign and put a small rip in it. Will stick back be suffice or should i get it sown up to prevent more tearing.

any hints or advice would be great, one logistical problem is that i live in broome which limits me taking it to get fixed.

bazza.

Hi Barry,

Sorry to say it, but I would really get the plugs seen to by someone who really knows what they are doing.

As for the kite, it totally depends on how big the tears are and where they are on the kite. There is a detailed description on my website on the Tips and tricks page as to how you should attempt to repair tears and such. Have a read. Ideally it is best to have them sewn in and use sticky back or use Tear Aid patches which are better again.

Good luck with it and good winds,

Thanks heaps for the help so far, and wouldn't you know it, we've had 2 mths of no wind and now we've got a week of it!
