I can't get over the fact you actually want to kiteboard in 10 knots. As for your question, demo it.

Have you tried the rocker profilers that go between the heelside fins and the board. They come with the Nobile.
Works Awsome for me kills all the spray.

its not the board its ur stance, maybe make it wider, i found wit my drive it fixed that issue of spray, wider stance steps the arse in more lifting the nose, if not just put more weight to the back n less on the front. not many twins ride waves well, how big r ur fins?

Yes I have the fin profilers as they came standard with the 2007 boards. I have tried everything, different sizes even adjusting my stance width and still no luck. Don't get me wrong, the 666 remains the best board I have ever ridden and it seems that for every 10 people who ride the board 2 or 3 guys will have the spray problem. The unfortunate thing is that being in Dubai we don't have a great selection of boards to try out. There are no Airush boards for demo and If I got one I would ride it for the very first time as the owner. Thats why I have to try and "demo" the board over the internet first. Will the Exile be able to absorb the power at higher winds with a 77kg rider though?

I too rode a Nobile 666 and didn't like it due to always catching spray and an edge. I'm not a big fan of the Airush Protoy, but just about everyone else who has ridden it is. The 2007 Protoy doesn't throw a lot of spray and handles chop easily. I rate it as a good allrounder if you want freestyle, waves, and comfortable riding.

What I didn't like was the board (I was riding the Protoy 135)
felt to me a little slow through the water. To put this into context, I ride the X-Pact 132 which is very fast and a great freeestyler, but lousy in the waves. The Protoy is great in messy chop and waves and is a real 'no-brainer' to ride.

The Protoy is wide enough to get you going in lighter winds and will comfortably hold down decent power in the upper ranges. For your weight go the next size down from the 135, I think it's a 129, it should fit you like a glove.

The Protoy Exile is a light wind board withoput peer, but you will struggle with it being only 77kgs in anything other than a light breeze. It's use is for light wind riding and it does this really well.
