Hey Terry,

Airush are not based here, although the kites and bars are designed and for the most part tested here in west Oz. Airush head office is based in Bangkok, Thailand and most of the prototype boards are shaped in the UK and then built by Cobra in Thailand.

The gear is good, thats my biased opinion!

The only way to decide if the gear is good for YOU is for YOU to ride it and test it YOURSELF, most Airush sellers have a demo kite and board for you to try, especially here in Perth at Airborne Kitesurfing and now also WindForce Watersports.

You can also try the Airush Forum which is not censored, it's all there, the good and the bad. I think they are the only kiting company to have an open forum www.airush.com

Hope this was helpful and not too biased

Good winds,

I agree with our local airush pimp aka kitehard (we still love you buddy - at least you are honest!)

Best bet is to go to a shop and see if you can demo one and decide if you like them then.

ive got a 05 12 lift love the kite not convinced about build quality. luffed slightly on a jump then the kite powered up, ripped the middle strut off the LE and ripped the kite in half.

Got it repaired

flying the other day ripped one of the panels almost fully out, not even sure what really happened, got it fixed.

reputable sailmaker said that these materials are cooked as part of the process making them and that in some cases can be overcooked. In his opinion if you're able to fly and ride the kite should be able to take the gusts and that the fabric on my kite was faulty

just my 2 cents

Not too good to hear that your kite ripped in half RDL. I have always thought Airush were pretty tough. I dropped mine in the surf a couple times the last couple days, it got mowed down by a wave and then spent some time getting smashed in the shorey before I could get to it. I was expecting it to be trashed, but it was all good.

She doesn't need to, her riding speaks for itself.
