Hi ste,

We have used the DNA in our school since September last year as our primary teaching kite and have been recommending lots of people buy them or the Flow SLE's for learning.

I like to ride the DNA myself on a surfboard in the surf and reckon there is no better kite for surf kiting.

The DNA is about the easiest kite to relaunch both on the water and land, about the most stable to fly which is why it's great in the surf, it just stays up and is super predictable, and on top of this it has loads of power and 100% depower. By letting go of the bar, the kite just falls out of the sky to sit in the relaunch position.

Now the down side, the DNA is not a fast kite (except the 6m which rocks in the surf!. It also does not sit really high in the wind window ie it sits back a little from neutral so it's upwind isn't as good as say the Flow, but thats how you get stability! The DNA is not a stratospheric jumping kite, it boosts OK but certainly not up there with say a FLow or another step up the Vapor.

Have a look at the forum on Airush as guys discuss the DNA, it has received rave review from people who have ridden them www.airush.com

Happy kiting,

If you wanna learn fast, a DNA is perfect, if you wanna ride in the surf, a DNA is perfect
