Took a mates Airush switch 142/42 2005 board for a run the other day and it rides beautiful. Winds were light and reasonable waves and it was easy to drive and jump etc.

They are a wide board with heaps of float. Wondering if there are any other similar designed boards for light winds etc.

Hey Dusty,

The true light wind board is the Airush Protoy Exile. At 135 x 47 it is a beast but rides so sweet and glides upwind. Also this years Switch 144 is a nice board for light winds too. The Switches have always been nice general freeride boards.

We have a bunch of 2008 demo boards at Pinnaroo including Airush Switch 144, 138, Protoy 129, 135 and 135 x 47 Exile, X-Pact 132 and the wave weapon, the Hammer 144. All are available if you are interested in trying a new board.

Good winds,
