Okay, done my time on the trainer kite and now ready for the real thing. Have decided to go for a new 07 bow kite to take advantage of the techno leaps this year.
Have narrowed it down to an Airush Flow or a Cabrinha Switchblade.
Most important characteristics for me are ease-of-use, relauchability and upwind performance.
I am finding it hard to differentiate between the two but have heard some reports that the Cabrinha kites are prone to inversions which would be a real turn-off for me.
Has anyone else heard this about the Cabrinhas or have any views about my kite choices?
Thanks in advance.

Laurie I have no experience with the AirRush kites, However the switchblade is very very good. I have not had any switchblade ( 1 or 2 ) invert on me yet. You are right about the Cabrinhas inverting however this is more and exclusive trait of the crossbow ( as it is a flatter kite ) I have inverted a crossbow at least 3 times. It is not really a major problem as you can still fly the kite more an annoyance as you generally have to come in to fix it.

i have a problem with the SB2 where it inverts and then folds up on itself like a scrunched up piece of newspaper. you cant relaunch it and cant undo the folded canopy on the water. happened three times in the past 3 weeks.
anyone else had this trouble?

airush flow is good too. although as a newb. at first your not really going to notice the difference between a airush flow sle or a switch blade 2. i'd go via price.
