I'm looking for an allround kite that is for good jumping, ideally with a large wind rage.
So far, I've been using Naish (Ride), F-one (Bandit) and Gaastra kites, not a huge fan of those :) mostly driven by good deals from local kiteshops.

Well the Bandit is a very good all rounder and covers the middle ground...

I think your better off enlightening us with your skill set. To get the best all round performance youll be needing two kites...

Sure :) I'm advanced in freeride, but only starting with freestyle. Comfortable with small jumps and back/front rolls.
Looking for ~10-12m 4 line kite that can take me to 15-20 feet jumps :)

virtually ANY kite can get you into the 20 foot jump range. Some will offer more glide though and need less technique to land softly.

Core xr. But yeah anything will get you to 20ft with good technique. From your experience level I'd say you need to refine your technique.

You'll need to buy a kite from usa to jump 15-20 feet, All Australian kites are sold with metric conversion

Do yourself a favor and give an Airush Union 3 a demo.
It's a great all rounder and with good technique it goes massive

i ride a naish dash and i find it really quick kite, great for overpowered jumps and great for kite looping as the bar pressure isnt that much. it drifts as well for in the surf when riding downwind and it doesnt back stall when unhooking a bit underpowered. im really happy with it. bandit is also good. same sort of kite i rkn. i know kite addiciton doing a big sale on them as the kite is about 1 year old now, should of waited till now and paid a lot less :S nothing like getting a bargain!

in all serious though, the union, fx, envy and dice/vegas core etc all go big and are good for corss over to unhooking

Thank you all for great tips.
@dafish and @Hybrid_Z: Sure, I can refine my technique, but why not getting some help for a kite, if possible.
@glasstraxx Great piece of advice, I have two Naish Ride kites (7 and 11m) and 9m F-one Bandit, and find them very different. I find Bandit less stable, while Ride seems more jump friendly, thus my interests in Dash.

I have to admit it is the ksurf kite rank that got me to think about other brands: www.iksurfmag.com/awards/readers-awards-2017/best-kite-manufacturer-of-2017/

Why don't you publish your woo results Glen.
Might just show how ordinary kiter you are on a kite specifically designed to jump big.

Maybe coz waiting for Woo3, there will be at least 30% higher results ;)

And no, it was not designed for jumping, but racing (before foils took over).

From ozonekites.com

"The design brief for the ninth version of Edge was to radically improve free ride and big air potential, while maintaining its multiple World Championship winning race performance"

Don't get me wrong they are great kite but not what I would call an all rounder. A little high aspect for that

U right, enough said.

somehow we do not see Edges winning the RedBull king of air, dont we?

But we see ppl winning races, so....

Ozone would just love to win over all of us, but that wont happen. The durability of Edges are just not there.

Any Flysurfer Boost2
would outjump an Edge, and a lot of other kites would too, ie Screamer. 5 lines kites too. They do drop u, and Edge does not, providing u redirect.

If you want to try something different the Fluid Sky, Atv and Ego, have been on the jump devices leaderboards for a while now, with Gilion regularly up around the top. and as far as King of the Air, there are riders jumping higher that aren't invited to these events.

Could always just look at the Woo results for Oz and see who's boosting highest and what they are using. Website doesn't let you drill down but the phone app will.
leaderboards.woosports.com/kite/bigair?mt=height&sd=1519862400&ed=1522540800&co=Oceania&cy=Australia

Of course big difference in heights depending on if you are kiting waves or in a bay and the ramps you get there. Personally on a 12m Cab Switchblade in bayside chop it will get my 95kg averaging around 7m up in the air, maxing out at about 10-11m (based on Woo results). That being said, I'm regularly beaten by 1-2m in the stats by a local bloke on a North Rebel, and 5m+ by guys on a surf beach.

I reckon they should ban people from recommending the kite brand they currently own.

Otherwise it's like inviting a pimp into your wife's bed.

It's a new video that come across my desk, but when you see the effort or lack thereof Alex puts into kite control and the importance of timing your pop from the water.
once again the message is "Technique ".

Technique is in fact my priority, I do the best I can on this front :) but my old Naish Ride doesn't really help in learning kite loops. Anyways, I need to update my quiver, so why not getting a more playful kite...
