I have never been to Altona but have heard that it is good in SE.
1/Is it still possible to go out when the wind is Easterly asis predicted for next few days?
2/ Is the water polluted as I know there are several industrial factories nearby?

Altona is fine. I heard there were about 30 kites or more out yesterday.

Altona is best on a high tide as it has numerous sandbars. Water is cleaner than StKilda. It is possible to go out in anything from SW through to E.

The water was really warm on cup day and my mate said he counted about 45 kites in the air and on the beach. Could have used some trafffic lights that day
