Hey, iv never kited in brizzy and im visiting there for the school holidays and was jsut wondering where i am and am not allowed to kite. I really want to have a sesh in surfers paradise but have the sneaking suspission that ill be shot if i do... ...a risk to national security. so yeh, if anyone can give me any tips on where to kite and where ill be killed, thatd be smashing... thanks in advance.

No probs, cant kite anywhere in cavill avenue,and stay off Tedder av and 300metres either way of the shops, currumbin bridge is a no kite zone and so is the Salt development.

Hope this helps someone may know of other spots not to kite

P.S Stay at least 300metres downwind of Paul J, and dont piss Geno off

Hahahaha thanks alot for that, ill try to keep those last things in mind, but yeh, if anyone else knows where ill be killed id like to know, thx.

They are in the process of banning kiting at Currumbin I believe. I dont think it has happened yet. Best to see if the locals are out when you get there.
Redland shire has banned kites from the Wellington Point reserve, so you just setup your kite on the beach when the tide is out a bit.
No problems with kiting at Brighton yet.
