And also post/comment. Maybe it's more interesting here. I wouldn't know, I've never read the windsurfing forum.

I read the windsurfer forum quite a bit. Not the gear oriented topics though.

They have a different writing style that i appreciate, more open minded (except to kites) and it makes a change from the same old kite topics.

give it a try.

cool vid. Notice the Naish kite hanging up in the windsurfing guys room behind him as he talks.

All board sports are trying to get one up on each other, it is pretty stupid really as more and more riders are into multi board sports- even in this vid they surf too. It is just whatever is right for conditions.

no wind flat - skate/wakeboard/wakeskate
no wind waves - surf
no wind small waves - longboard /sup
wind - kite /windsurf
snowing - snowboard

Board sports rule, and without the influence of each other the progression would be less and that is a big part of the fun. But I also think kiters trying to replicate exactly another board sport as i read more and more - eg wakeboarding/surf limits its progression too.

imagine having conditions like that everyday at your local!

some insane board/sail handling skills in there and a few very good recoveries from almost certain wipeouts. haven't windsurfed since '97 but almost feel like having a blast after watching that!

We come over here to check the wind over this side of the forum

We understand/can get info off most of the stuff kiters post about (minus kite gear, handlepasses and boosting), and to stir you guys up occassionally when wind is scarce and we are bored

Is it a bad thing sunseeker?

Twice as many topics in the kite over the windsurfing forum-sign of the more active sport.....

Perhaps the volume of active topics in the kitesurfing forum is more representative of the ADD generation having short attention spans which don't allow them to engage in deep and meaning concourse before the conversation degrades into mudslinging and gay jokes.

No, not a bad thing at all. We're all one big happy family. Mistral movie was pretty impressive. Next they will be going strapless with 100% a depower sail...

Wind was scarce and I was bored. Not really that amazed - just an observation.
