Anyone tell me where I can get Amsteel or another sheathless rope for the depower line (with a cleat) on the roll in Perth. Tried SOS & Yacht Grot. No luck.

go to Sailpower in Carrington St Nedlands talk to Grant Alderson there and ask for samson rope, the braid is Lightning Blue. They should sell it in 2.5mm and 3mm sizes. the 2.5 is massively overspec'd for kites so will do the job. to splice it make a fid (get a piece 80mm of the centre strand of some 3mm or 4mm dynema wire - the centre is the only piece that's straight - and bend it in half and then use that to draw it through the rope). SailPower probably also retail Dynex 75 (aka Dyneema 75)
