Please guys, When you have one kite and cant ride upwind both ways, and dont know your safety system inside and out, DONT take you grunty 10m kite out when the wind is over 25 knots ++++++. Things happen quickly and your kite with "100% depower" will kill you without intervention with someone who knows what there doing. Fabric is fabric and when its fully powered up after a line tangle or something else will flog you. Learn to kite another day or go down earlier to get your 15-23 knots and then come in and pack up. Better still save your coins and buy the same kite second hand in a 6-7m for Perth conditions. PLEASE

agreed. doing downwinder city to brighton, see a group of 5 people and one kite setting up around dog beach,, tack back out,, see friends trying to launch the one guy,, tack back out,, hear THUD,, see kite 100m north of takeoff spot, with guy on back and kite down in the dunes.

at least he knew to pull the saftey!

PLEASE TAKE LESSONS! AND KNOW YOUR LIMITS!

Could not agree more, went early as I only had a 10 but had to come in before too long as I was getting over powered.
Better to have a short session and live to kite another day
(Did enjoy it while I was out there)

Today at mullaz.
Guy with 11m 2006 Rebel rocks up and decides to go for a nice evening of body dragging.
5 mins after entering the water, he's 100m out of the exclusion zone

perfect session, you could have gone down today, between 11 am and 12:45pm and had a good blast then its time to pack up and kite tomorrow and if work allows it, monday., a newbie that is not a cowboy, gouys like you will keep beaches open and get the skills to kite in any wind direction or strength, as long as its not too gousty without hurting yourself of others.

Agreed guys, it is not uncommon to see learners at Trigg/Scarbs when there is a swell running, strong winds. They can hardly launch let alone get through the break without risking everyone in their path including other kiters. People have to learn, and I think most kiters respect that however learners need to be smarter and learn on a quiet beach where the risk of hurting others is lower. We will get kicked off these main beaches if we are not careful.
