Tonight (24 Jun 08) between about 5 and 5.20 a white Toyota, which was parked not 20m from the showers and the kite pumping spot at Brighton beach, Scarborough, WA, was broken into. At this time there were guys deflating kites on the lawn and generally people milling around within spitting distance of the car.
The ironic thing is they are Saffer tourists, who have so far dodged having their cars broken into back home, but thought they could come to Oz for a bit of a break from crime and violence!!

Anyone notice anything?

Rarrr. I hate these people. Did they manage to get anything? I hope not.
Was your car the white one, or was their car the white one?
They really do have balls, breaking into cars with other people around like that.
I hope something horrible happens to them.

Has anyone reported these latest two break-ins to the Stirling council?

Just a though, but they would probably be willing to step up their "neighbourhood patrols" into that area as well if they were notified of the increase in car break - ins at Brighton. Anyone with knowledge of how to inform the council?

It seems like they are targeting kite surfers!
Most of these break ins happening at the kite surfing spots.
I have reported mine to police but seems like they don't want to know about it.

I'm so damn ready to hide somewhere around Leighton beach and hunt them down.
These people took $3,500 of my gears.

Yes, it was the white one. They stole a DVD camcorder, wallet, credit card, some cash and a mobile.
The guys who were robebd received a few text messages from the mobile saying "phone me", but when they tried to phone, it wouldn't accept the call.

Why would they do that? All I can think is if they are watching the area to see if anyone receives a text message and then tries to call so they can identify their victims? What would they want to do that for?

Is "bomb" the key word there? I like your thinking...

Is there a paint bomb kit (the one they put with large cash transfers so if the money is piched an ink bomb goes all over the notes staining them .Well US notes that I saw on a movie ) or perhaps an electrification kit ( If somone opens the car without authorisation tha car electrifies and gives them a nasty jolt like a tazer) that you can put in your car so that if some bastard gets in they get some instant justice .

Leave a bottle of whiskey in the car with enough laxatives to put them in hospital but not kill them. If they break in, I'll put money on it that they drink the whiskey and in 24 hours you'll find them at a hospital. I have no sympathy for this scum.
