that was hell lach i wanna come snow kiting in the antartic,if only i could go as good upwind as ur iceburge. nice boost on the ski's. So are you going on the expedition? by the way one of ur dudes rang me today and said the x blank was in, i think mum wants to get it for chrissie. so ill be in for a deposit soon.

Am I going?initially it was a childhood dream to go .After my daughter did Doug Mawson for her school project this year (and have read a number of books on him)and when I sat behind a rock in minus 20 windchill last year down there untangling lines I said no frikkin way.
but there is something in me now saying "well why the hell not you only live once"(
While I am on the subject of Mawson the guy is a bloody legend,national hero and ispiration.i wouldn't mind using some contacts to bring to life his story on the big screen.
Do yourselves a favour and do a google search and find out more about the guy.
BTW ol Peter lynn Snr is a living national kiwi treasure .I loved bens description of him being the willie wonka of kiting.(and if stinky and pete are reading this PL jnr's a pretty bloody clever lad too!)
