I doubt it.
Thats a north one from a few years ago i think.
The clip on the end failed regulary if i rememebr rightly.

So strangulation, decapitation and sore feet all round still me thinks.

I'm referring to the rigid piece incorporated in the leash.
It might prevent wrapping around the bar.

Hey Slave,

Cheers for offering some constructive input on the leash topic. A refreshing change.

Apart from the clip (which could easily be replaced with a better one) did this design work to avoid tangles? Anyone? Were there any drawbacks?

yeah
thats from a 2009 rebel etc. the current one is the same but with the standard snap carabiner, less prone, but still snags particulary on bars with separate floats.
Its not just the death leashes its also about bar design.

The leashes arent the problem.
Its the bars that create all the drama.
I think we need to lobby the whole community to abandon their 'deathbars'.
Its the only way to go for responsible kiting.
As long as you have yourself a good safey leash its all you need.

There are no deathbars ... only bad bars. ^^^
No kiter has even been killed solely by a control-bar.
However, deathleashes have caused many fatalities.
Puppet, quit trivialising this important safety issue.
It's an insult to the friends and family of the victims.
