Hi all, Very new to the sport as in just about to have my first lesson. If all goes well am keen to get set up with all the gear asap. The only thing is don't know a single person who is into kitesurfing from my town thus will be alone on any further Kiting adventures, as i will be a 'newby' i know this is a bad idea so hoping to find some people around the area to meet up with for abit of support and hopefully some fun.

Hey AKG,

Local Newcastle riders have actually put together a club as a way to build the social side of the sport and to try ensure we are protecting our beaches to aviod being banned.

Email Morgan at this address [email protected] to be added to our mailing list. When things are happening, like ride days, downwinders and BBQ's an email is sent out to let everyone know. We also hold monthly meetings to catch up for a meal, share the goss on the competitions happening and watch locally made kiting vids.

The Newy crew is always pretty friendly, a large group kites Nobby's in a NE, so if you head down you wont be alone and there are lots of experienced guys to help with advise and any questions.

Thanks Missy sounds great have been following this forum for awhile and as annoying as a "newby" can be i think its obviously a wise decison to have some people about that know what their doing for everyones safety, plus it will be great to find people with similar interest, I'll send an email. Thanks again.
