That would be great if you could check. We are flying out tomorrow night and I wasn't expecting this type of discrimination at all from a country like Japan.

It seems others from overseas have successfully navigated the site and bought tickets so I'm assuming you can just print them out which is what Tokyo Disneyland allows you to do.

If need be I can come over tonight with a carton of beer if we can get this sorted asap.

Didn't expect that kind of discrimination? There is a reason there is no blonde, red haired, light brown haired, curly haired, blue eyed, green eyed, light brown eyed people in asia. They also smile and are friendly when they dont like you. Enjoy your holiday.

We're snowboarding for a week then touring for a week. Staying at a combination of hotels, serviced apartments and Airbnbs.

And the good news, no.... great news is the host of one of the Airbnb we are staying at has offered to buy the tickets for us. And yes you did needed a Japanese address.

Hopefully the winter plus being non-school holiday plus mid week will mean the crowds are slightly less.

Insane isn't it. However I've been snowboard only once and that was ten years ago. So I imagine I'll be on the groomed runs the whole time. I may try a guided trip later in the week to at least experience all that powder depending on how I progress.

My son had never snowboarded before going to Rusutsu. He was off piste the second day. I think you'll find it's not that hard. The snow is like baby powder, soooo soft. You only need to go off the runs to the side a meter or so and your knee deep. Cut your teeth there and then venture further into the trees once your confidence builds. One good thing is the stacks are soft.

I know you'll be off piste before you know it. That powder is like a magnet.

We're doing Niseko, with I guess have the Australian population.

I think kids pick things up a lot faster than me now days. However the powder does sound sooooo attractive.. Ok I think I've already convinced myself to give it a go.. I'm hiring a helmet to keep my nogin warm and mount the gopro so that would be useful if any trees jump ouut att me
