hey
Im doing my final year project and need a bit of a hand with modelling a 2D system....mainly the meshing part.
If anyone has had experience with GAMBIT, any help would be very much appreciated!
Cheers

Hi Dan, I have some very limited use of both - mainly my opnion is that gambit is ****e. (sorry!!)

Meshing in 2D should be fairly simple, what sort of analysis/shape ar you looking at (kite leading edge perchance?? - thats a tricky one!)

Key things to look at are non uniform meshing shapes (think other than square - triangles that vary propotion, mixing of polygon shapes and reduction in mesh density as you get away from the anaysis area). Drop me a line if you want more suggestions, there might be someone at my work who may have more... [email protected]

Everything I learnt last year came out with a tasty projectile vomit the night after my last exam
I am completing Bach Eng at UWA. All are required to do a thesis. Mine is on the effect of height, width and length of two adjacent buildings on the wind velocity profile through the wind gap. I am doing a physical model in teh wind tunnel but also need to check the viability of using a program like FLUENT to analyse wind loading problems.
By the way I wanted to do something on kites but apparently modelling the bastards takes waaaay too long. If I knew about those F-ONE cyclone kites, I could have done something on kites in the wind tunnel.
Ill send you an email today mark...thanks for that.
