I was using an 8m Aero last week in a lesson wiht Rob Gannon it was gusty probably about 15-25ish and it was manageable. I only weigh 72kg so not too much heavier. Having said that we set the kite up quite depowered. But i think she should be able to handle it judging on my experience last weekend.

I did my first 20+ sessions on an aero 10... basically did all my learning on one. I still use it from 20-25kts up. It's a good kite: fast, grunty, but depowerable. Dig in a little and it will zap to the edge of the window and stop pulling.
The smaller sizes (8-10) were judged to be the best of the aeros at the time, coz the bigger ones were a bit sluggish in the sky and things were moving high AR. Then things swung back to mid-AR and all of a sudden the older aeros were seen as good grunty kites for wake style etc.
Mine is now 2 1/2 years old, has seen at least 50 sessions, and has never had a single problem.

Hi I bought a new Aero 1 10m (off the shelf new) for my 1st season this year. I also used an aero 8m for my lessons and liked it.
I must say the 10m seems to turn a LOT slower than the 8m, but overall I am really happy with it, especially the water relaunch.
I am 80kgs and must admit for Perth if I had a 12m (the 10m is my only kite at the mo) I would be out a little more often in the 12-18kts days, perfect for learning.
Lower wind days can be frustrating for learning but the upside is my skills are getting there and I am a bit more confidant and now starting to enjoy the 20-23kt days instead, wheras I would probably struggle with a 12m overpowered.
For a 65 kg lady the 10m would probably sit in the same zone as a 12m for me so IMO go for the 10 so the 12-18 kts days are great for starting off.
Cheers,
