Cheers

ps best of luck to the competition this weekend, both competitors and organisers alike.

Hey Eppo, we stay at Flinders Bay caravan park every year. The difference is that the bays next the park are very clean (unlike the jelly fish infested river next to Turners) and great for the kids. More kiters the better... what dates are you looking at? We are there from the 17th for 10 days...

I have just booked Turners for the 21st and 22nd as someone said it was better but I was going to book Flinders as it was closer to the beach. I guess its all a matter of opinion.

Heading down the 10th for 4 days, so will miss you. Next time. Already booked turners, although flinders sounds more our cup of tea. Mate last time I was down Augusta, (and I kited) was a good 7 years ago! Can't remember the place at all. Will explore when down there and suss out the best place for next time.

hey how do you access the ocean for kiting? I kind of went to the mouth through the river (never actually went to the ocean). Is there an beach/waves good for kiting on the south easter.

Mate I live in Mandurah and very rarely use the stinkin' estuary, always prefer the ocean.

Hey Eppo, hope you get some nice Augusta wind, we always do. I pretty much only go out in the ocean (natural foot surfer, so I love it sic).
As you are heading away from Turners along the river, as you pass the river car park (the one with the kids play ground opposite the cafe) there is a beach entrance on the left. Walk to the end and that is where you launch from. For some reason the waves are always clean in that corner, enjoy...!
