Hi guys + gals,

I'm currently enjoying the awesome conditions in Augusta on holiday with the wife. The cunning plan has been foiled by the dearest breaking her spreader bar!

Please could anyone suggest the closest shop that maybe open tomorrow or if anyone has a Dakine spreader bar gathering dust in the garage near here please Private message me, handsome reward on offer (aka cash or a few beers), anything to save the 6 hr roundtrip back to Perth.

Any help much appreciated,

Rich

Ps - Have tried Simon (lessons in Margaret's)

Hey Rich,

I am coming down to Augusta tomorrow, leaving Perth at 9am.

Not sure if Darren at AKS www.kiteboardingschool.com.au/index.php/About-AKS/contact-us.html is open but if he is and if you wanted to buy a bar, I can pick it up and bring it with me.

If you can arrange it PM me in the morning before 9am.

Allan

Rich,

I am sure Darren will be able to help you out with a new one but if not you can borrow (foc) my spare one if Allan wants to collect from my place in Nedlands on his way south. You'd need to let me know before 7:30am

Cheers

Hey Rick Simon lives and works in Margaret River and is usually in Augusta this time of year giving lessons - he stocks Dakine gear - give him a call - wind sure is good down there at the moment - peaked 2 days ago at 39 kts... insane :)

man made cut in the river was almost closed up about 2 months ago when I last saw it. only thing I noticed different to last year was a lot more weed stuck around the river mouth.

P.S - how close is the cape leeuwin wind reading to actual wind at Augusta? was thinking about heading down today but decided not to as the forecast looked bad...looking at the graphs now I think it could have been bad decision.

I'm curious too. I'll be heading to Pemberton later this week and I'd like to get a rivermouth session in on the way down or back. Anybody know of any decent spots near Pemberton?

Hi Andrew,

I kited Augusta today, southerly wind around 18 knots initially, increased to 22 + by the end of the session . Probably around 15 kiters in the river - 3 plus myself on the beach.
River mouth is open.
